The Veterinary Science program prepares you for further education or employment in the animal care field. In this two-year program, you’ll explore both large and small animal practices, and gain firsthand experience in animal behavior, handling and restraint techniques. You’ll learn medical terminology, animal health and disease, and record keeping by working in both the small animal facility and with large animals on the school farm. You also will spend time working in veterinary laboratories and practicing advanced skills in areas such as vaccination, deworming, physical examination, and nutrition and feed analysis.
